Here is some helpful information that may quickly answer some of your questions! 

 

• Our trailers are built to order and are sold direct from our location in Armstrong, BC Canada. 

  • We currently do not have any dealers.
     

• We do sell to US residents.  There are two options for receiving your new trailer:

  • Visit us at our location in BC to pick it up OR have it shipped to you. 

  • We do not directly manage the shipping of our trailers. 

  • Our customers have successfully used shipping services such as Krosshairventures.ca and Uship.com.

 

• Our trailers are custom “ubilt” trailers weighing less than 1400 kg (3086 lbs). 

  • They come with a Bill of Sale, Statement of Origin, Registration Transfer and VIN. 

  • They are inspected and built to Canadian and US Standards with labeling showing compliance. 

 

• In British Columbia, 12% tax is applied to purchases.

  • This includes 5% GST (Federal Sales Tax) and 7% PST (Provincial Sales Tax).

  • These taxes must be calculated on the total purchase price of each trailer. 

 

• PST Refund 

  • If you do not ordinarily reside or carry on business in BC, you are eligible for a refund of PST paid on a vehicle you purchased in BC if, within 30 days after the date you took possession of the vehicle, the vehicle was transported outside BC for use primarily outside the province. 

  • On the date you take possession, Armadillo Trailers will provide you with the documents required for your application. From this point you will have 30 days to apply for the PST Refund. 

  • The BC PST Refund is managed by the Government of British Columbia, independent of Armadillo Trailer Mfg. Ltd.  More Info at this link.  Provincial Sales Tax Forms.

 

• Currently, the turn around time from the day you place your order to the day of pick up is 10 months.
   

• We require $30,000 CAD deposit to secure your spot in the build queue. Upon completion, we'll proceed with the balance due and make arrangements for you to pick up your trailer.
   

• We warrant that our trailers are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase. 

  • All appliances have warranties from their manufacturers.
